Neal Murthy’s expertise lies in the use of intuitive and creative techniques in organizational development and strategy.
Neal is the chairman of Haven Holdings, through which he holds stakes in more than 200 early-stage companies in technology areas as diverse as health/biomedical, software and agricultural/ecological. He is presently a co-founder in three startups: SolverX, Village Insights (corporate innovation management software) and Talinnt (human resources technology). As part of his involvement in the global startup community, he currently sits on the boards of over a dozen early-stage startups and provides advisory to organizations in Houston, elsewhere in the U.S., and abroad.
In the past, Neal has been co-founder/managing director of the startup consultancy Indalo Solutions, an oil-and-gas consultant, founder/director of data analysis and modeling company Intellihence, and the founder/director of enterprise technology firm The Nefer Group. In addition to his work as a consultant and entrepreneur, he was a lecturer in entrepreneurship, finance/economics, and management at the University of Houston from 2003 to 2018.
Neal holds a bachelor’s in economics/mathematics, master’s degrees in finance and economics and an MBA from the Bauer College at the University of Houston.
